Where I Belong (Alabama Summer Book 1)

Where I Belong (Alabama Summer Book 1) - J. Daniels What if the "bane of your existence" is really the man of your dreams? Mia heads back to her childhood home for a summer of fun with best friend, Tessa. The only problem is Tessa's older brother still lives in the same town. Here is hoping that Mia doesn't have to cross paths with the only person who made her feel unloved as a young girl.

I loved who Ms. Daniels played out the re-meet. It always seems like the ugly duckling knocks out the handsome prince at first glance, but then there is recognition. Not for Ben. He doesn't realize who he in lust with until much later. All of the secondary characters are a hoot and keep the story moving. The Hero's intention to be friends first almost backfires. I love to see the recognition of the fact that people change is the theme and you shouldn't hold someone to past actions. The story line does get a tad angsty as Mia holds onto to her anger, and Nolan's mom. But the story pulls together in the perfect HEA. Oh, and hold onto your panties because the steamy scenes with Ben and Mia - whoa Baby.

The Alabama Summer series was a complete binge read for me. Book one on through. Can the stories standalone? Maybe is my thought. But really you need to read them all together as actions and clues for the next books are revealed. Need a sweet yet HOT romance read. Highly recommend this series. 4.5 out of 5 stars.
