Level Hands

Level Hands - Amy Jo Cousins "It's okay to be nervous."
"I'm not nervous."
"Dude."

Yep, you read correctly. Cash is back in book 4. If you are familiar with the series and read my review for the Girl Next Door, you know I love Cash. He's not the main character but he shows up enough to tickle your funny bone and give sound advice. This is Rafi and Denny's story.

The story takes you back to college and throws in the competitive collegiate sport of rowing. If that isn't enough to make Rafi anxiety sky rocket, he is on a full ride scholarship that he feels he needs to prove that he deserves. He wants to fit and be 'normal'. What might not be 'normal' is his attraction to Denny. And should that matter.

After reading this book, I wavered as a tie with Off Campus. Both books are m/m, but the characters are so different. I could sympathize with Rafi's insecurities, but I really had points where I wanted to smack him through my kindle. Denny has the patience of Job and sometimes, yep, I thought Rafi didn't deserve him. But overall, this was a touching story of people learning that sometimes the issues are all in your head.

Book four is a m/m romance. If this is your preference in romance genre includes sports themes, I recommend this novel. Although the fourth book in the series, each one can standalone. As I write my reviews, I've read books 1-4. Book four - definite 4.5 star read. Series - 5 stars overall
