Strong Heroine - Recommend read to fans of YA paranormal

I love a kick-ass heroine, and Charlie Wright fits the bill plus more. The story moved fluidly with very well developed characters. Charlie and her classmates find themselves in their freshman year training to rid the world of evil for us mere morals. This type of young adult, paranormal genre isn’t my normal bookshelf reading material. However, on occasion I like to venture out of the norm and visit other genres to engage my emotions in different ways. I was pleasantly surprised and engrossed into the story that hours seem to slip by until I reach ‘the end’.

I’m a self-professed Sawyer Bennett fan. I love her style of writing and character development. I know when I pick up a piece that is written by her, I will be thoroughly entertained. And I was not disappointed. This is a novel I can see wholly recommend to any age group that is looking for likeable characters placed in realistic (for paranormal) situations. The novel is definitely the start of series of stories, but the ending doesn’t leave you hanging.
