Wicked Fall (The Wicked Horse Series Book 1)
“I didn’t want it to be my whole life.
Like Tenn…I had other desires.
Unlike Tenn…mine are a bit darker.
A bit more lecherous.
They are altogether nasty at times.”
That’s just in the Prologue. You know you are in for a wild ride.
Sawyer Bennett offers us a glimpse into the wild west of Wyoming. Where cowboys are ruggedly handsome with a big touch of alpha male, and cowgirls never let our cowboys get away with “No”. The main characters, Woolf and Callie, reconnect after a few years of just circling around the fringes of their lives. Once they meet (or clash) up again, you are taken on a journey of their love affair. The book is told from both points of view and allowing the reader into the thoughts and feelings of the same scene. There are several interesting characters woven throughout. I am hopeful that some of these characters will get their own story told very soon.
This book is by far the most sensualistic book Sawyer Bennett has written so far. It is extremely sexy without being gratuitous for the sake of the genre. The steamy scenes are just heart stopping sizzling - by far - my favorite sections of the book. We meet some narrow minded characters that in this day and age I wouldn’t hope exist, but {sigh} I know do.
If you love Sawyer Bennett's characters you will not be disappointed as she delivers believable and worthy; never flat or boring. If you are familiar with her work, she provides solid writing, but read the prologue, she also delivers HOT. If never read this author’s work and love contemporary romance with a wild side of erotic, you’ll adore this novel.
This ARC was given in exchange for an honest review.
