Let me say- Like Emma Chase, like Penny Reid? You'll like J.D. Hawkins. He's not as snarky as the ladies, but dialog will split a huge grin on your face. ( and I mean snarky as a good thing) The internal dialog you read that Jax and Lizzie put out? Yes, I really understood and connected with the characters. My next favor thing is how the ending evolved.(Yes, it sucks it's cliffhangerish) but watching our hero go from selfish boy to {gasp} grown up boy with {gasp} feelings was great to read. He didn't suddenly, abruptly change. Nope, you got a great view into this character's growth. That sucked me in- great story telling. And yes, to address the negative reviews, you've 'heard' the story that's why we pick this genre- however, this writing was just fabulous!!!
